What I Use.  My recommended Finance and Investment platforms and apps

On this page I have links to some of the investment, saving and banking apps and websites that I use or have used previously and which I have found be be reliable, easy to use and worth recommending to others.

Over time I will be reviewing each platform and will link to the reviews as and when they are uploaded.  I've included a short description about what each platform offers and where available have also included referral links in case you are interested in trying any of them.  You are under no obligation to use these links but doing so does help support this site.

What is Curve?

What is Starling Bank?
Starling is digital challenger bank; a new, smaller bank that doesn't have branches but operates online only via an app.  Challenger banks compete with the older traditional banks.  "Apply in minutes to get instant payment alerts and categorised spending insights. Vanguard Investment Platform is one of the largest investment management companies in the world and offers a way for retail investors like you or me to invest in mutual funds and ETF's at a low cost.  They offer stocks and shares ISA's, general investment accounts and SIPP's, all of which are ways to invest in the stock market.

Crypto.com is a app that lets you buy and sell cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.  You can earn crypto through staking and it offers a pre-paid card that gives rewards back in crypto on purchases made.

Coinbase is an exchange where you can buy, sell and trade cryptocurrencies. I think it's a good place to start learning about crypto due to the simple interface and the crypto basics guides they have available.

The Trading212 Stock Trading Platform lets you purchase individual stocks and ETF's. They offer both an ISA and general account and have some innovative features that you won't find from more traditional platforms such as "pies" as well as allowing the purchase of fractional shares.

eToro is a social trading platform that offers a general account where you can buy and sell individual stocks, ETF's, commodities and crypto as well as trade currency pairs.

This one is a little different.  GoodDollar is a non-profit organisation that is using blockchain technology to deliver a basic digital income for all.  GoodDollar has a pool of income that is distributed evenly in G$ to all users and can be claimed every 24 hours and is backed by eToro as part of its mission to educate people about digital assets.

OpenMoney and Evestor Investment Platforms.  Evestor is a low cost investment platform that offers ready made portfolios to invest in based on whether you identify as a cautious investor and wish to take a low risk, feel more confident and want a medium risk or happy to take high risk with your money with the possibility of making higher gains.  OpenMoney runs the Evestor platform but focusses more on providing financial and investment advice as well as help with debt management.
